Real Cherry Limeades
Today was a scorcher! Guess summer ain't over til it's over.
If you're looking for a refreshing and guilt-free something to sip as you put your feet up and relax on your porch this Labor Day, try this!
I keep these ingredients around at all times in the summer. Easy, sweet, and basically guilt-less.
Not only is this drink really low in sugar compared to probably 99% of all other Labor Day beverages, Lime Vitality oil is DELICIOUS, one of the most affordable oils, and it is a good detoxer. (For more info on Lime, check out this post.)
For two servings:
- 12 oz can sparkling water (plain, lime, or berry flavor)
- 1/2 c cherry juice (See note!)
- 1 lime, juiced (plus slices for garnish)
- 12 drops Stevia
- 8 drops Lime Vitality oil
Mix ingredients in a small pitcher. Fill two mason jars or glasses (not plastic) with ice, and pour in the limeade. Enjoy!
NOTE: I get EITHER the cherry juice blend above from Natural Grocers or Sprouts (great price when on sale), OR Trader Joe's 100% Tart Cherry Juice.
If you're using straight-up, 100% tart cherry juice, you will need to at least DOUBLE the stevia listed. Tart cherry juice can be sour! In this picture is a cherry and fruit juice blend, so it's already got other juices to sweeten it a bit.
